Maggie O’Malley MA LPCC
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Maggie believes it takes courage to seek support and the focus of her practice is to provide collaborative counseling by working together to cultivate inner strength and self-understanding. She believes that we have a basic need to connect with others and be heard, which is part of the healing nature of talk therapy. She wants to be there with you in your journey towards well-being and promote a holistic approach to therapy and overall well-being. When you start therapy, she will work to make your time together a non-judgmental and safe space to share your stories and challenges.
She is passionate about continuing to grow and learn in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and phobias. She takes the same collaborative approach to ERP, although more structured than talk psychotherapy, to help you reduce the negative impact of the time and emotional energy spent if OCD is unmanaged and find relief. She completed her training at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety.
She grew up in Southern Minnesota and moved to the cities to complete her Bachelors of Art in Psychology at the University of Minnesota. After falling in love with the Twin Cities, She continued her education at the University of St. Thomas and graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She is excited to continue to build her practice and community at Grander Peace Counseling. In her free time, she enjoys everything DIY related, attempting to keep her plants alive, and can’t wait to curl up on the couch with a good book at the end of the day.
Often within one week of you completing the initial paperwork, Maggie is available for traditional therapy.
Maggie is in the St. Paul location and offers telehealth.
