Adult Art Therapy

We are excited to announce that our art therapist, Kim, is kicking off another art therapy group this fall!

Research has discovered many benefits from art for both the mind and body. Not only can art help with emotional processing and self-esteem, but it also is proven to physically help your brain chemistry. Creating art can increase serotonin levels, blood flow to parts of the brain associated with pleasure, and foster new ways of thinking. By keeping your hands preoccupied with creating, many find it easier to express their thoughts and feelings. Doing art can help anyone, including those with diagnoses of anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. Being creative helps more than many of us realize.

Kim’s group is open to adults 18+ at our Loring Park location. Insurance is accepted for 8 sessions and supplies are provided. Talent is not required-only a passion for creativity!

We’d love to have you!
